Stefan Reiss' work is a research into the fields of drawing, painting, sculpture, installation, projection and performance. By developing specific works for different mediums he unfolds a complexity of contextual relations, materials and practices, tracing back to the basis of all his works: simple, geometric forms.

He studied Fine Arts / Sculpture at the Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee and attended the masterclass at Prof. Inge Mahn and Prof. Berndt Wilde. Stefan is member of the Royal Society of Sculptors, London.

He's winner of the SPACE + Vision Redbridge Culture & Leisure commission 2018, N-Ergie Audience Award at Die Blaue Nacht 2017 in Nuremberg and was shortlisted for the Lumen Prize 2016 (London, UK), LYNX Prize 2016 (Trieste, Italy) and long listed for Aesthetica Art Prize 2017 (York, UK) and Warsteiner Bloom Award 2015 & 2016 (Cologne, Germany).

His works were shown in international exhibitions at Museum of Contemporary Art Shanghai (China), Today Art Museum Beijing (China), Modern Art Museum Shanghai (China), Leeds Digital Festival (UK), Aesthetica Art Prize (York, UK), LYNX Prize (Trieste), European Media Art Festival (Osnabrueck, Germany) and Die Blaue Nacht (Nuremberg, Germany).
